Joanne Ross

Joanne Ross began her UBC playing career back in 1994-95, leading the T-Birds to a national final in 1997and 1999. She received the Marilyn Pomfret Trophy as UBC’s top female athlete in 1999 after five seasons with the T-Birds. One of the best players the UBC program has ever produced, Ross was a two-time all-Canadian and joined Team Canada in 1997, starting at middle blocker for several years. This is her fifth year as a member of the UBC coaching staff. Joanne plays Pro beach and last year won the 2007 Molson’s open in Vancouver and 2007 Seaside Classic in Seaside Oregon.
