ubc summer volleyball camps – registration now open

UBC Summer Camps are a great way to prepare for the upcoming school and club seasons. In particular,  here are two camps that are geared to club players:

Advanced Training Camp for ages 12-16 years runs July 2-5 (Tuesday to Friday, Full and Half Day options).  These camps are for experienced club players that are looking to raise their level of play! The expectation is that players are committed to hard work and have the experience for intensive training. Players will be divided into groups based on ability and age. Tutorial time allows for focus on skills of interest and position training. There will be time for integrating strategies learned into various game play situations, as well as time for important on and off court activities such as sport psychology and nutrition. Full day camps will also have pool sessions at the UBC Aquatic Centre, allowing campers to take a break and have fun away from the court (lunch supervision is included in the full day offering). http://camps.ubc.ca/summer-camps/girls-advanced-training-camp/

Positional Training Camp for ages 14-17 years runs July 8-12  from 1:00-4:00pm.  The focus of this camp is a high intensity session aimed at consolidating skills and providing important technical and tactical training by position. Players can choose one or two positions to focus on. Courts are run by UBC varsity coaches as well as guest coaches from other CIS and college programs. The camp is appropriate for experienced club, regional and provincial team players. Space is limited.   http://camps.ubc.ca/summer-camps/girls-positional-training/
