Thunder Volleyball Boys and Girls Training Grades 4-7
Thunder Volleyball Club is pleased to provide fall and spring clinics for elementary students to help them learn to play the sport of volleyball the right way while having fun.
Directed by Doug Reimer, head coach of UBC Women’s Volleyball team, and taught by varsity players and other experienced coaches, children will learn basic volleyball skills, and play a progressive system culminating in playing matches with all skills. Previous train and players and those new to the sport are all welcome.
Both sections help prepare players for future involvement in school and club volleyball. Register into one of two sections:
- Atomic Basic refers to players that are new to the sport, played on elementary volleyball team or participated in one previous atomic type clinic. Grades 4-6.
- Atomic Advanced refers to grade 6-7 players that have played equivalent of 12U/13U train and play as well as other clinics and school teams.
If you are uncertain which grouping to sign up for, don’t worry as the players will be grouped by experience during the sessions and divided into appropriate courts with curriculum geared to progressing skills.
Please note: the Atomic program is not intended for athletes who have previously participated on a club team; rather it is geared towards those new to the sport and those with previous train and play experience.
