UBC Thunder Beach Summer Session Information
12U – 14U Girls – Tuesday Morning [6 sessions]
- Time: 9:00 – 10:45
- Dates: July 11 – August 15
- Cost: $190
12U – 14U Girls – Wednesday Afternoon [6 sessions]
- Time: 4:30-6:00 pm
- Dates: July 5 – August 9
- Cost: $190
Cost for Tuesday and Wednesday combo is $360.
Location: Spanish Banks East beach courts at the foot of Tolmie.
Head Coach: Dan Everton.
Dan will bring his extensive coaching experience, beach expertise and enthusiasm to the sessions. He enjoys working with beginner to more skilled beach players of all ages.
Coaching roster includes: Erika Vermette, Chloe Stone, Katie Anne Reimer, Jayde Robertsen, Danika Cowie, Danielle Price as well as other UBC coaches and players.

UBC Weekly Thursday Indoor Training – Osborne Gym
These sessions are for players with competitive club experience.
There will be 3 courts divided by age group. Training court groupings will be based primarily by age group to help ensure appropriate level of challenge and instruction.
Head Coach: Connor MacCuspie – UBC assistant coach, with extensive experience coaching at competitive club, post-secondary and National team as well as clinic and camp lead coach at all developmental.
Other head and assistant coaches include UBC staff, players, alumni as well as experienced club coaches.
12U – 14U Thursday Indoor [14 sessions]
- Location: Osborne Gym UBC
- Time: 5:30-7:00 pm
- Dates: May 18 – August 17
- Cost: $450

Summer General Program Information:
- Participants are divided by age and ability
- Please note that due to fixed facility and coach costs, we are unable to prorate sessions unless an athlete is absent for a prolonged period. (The only exception is for 14U athletes interested in indoor Thursday sessions also registered for spring Thunder Beach on Thursdays and unable to move to Tuesdays. Please note when you register or email)
- Refunds for withdrawing from a series of sessions will be considered under special circumstances such as injury.
UBC Small Group or Individual Sessions
The purpose of these sessions are to tailor them to meet specific needs. They can be set up in a variety of ways including general skill analysis and/or assessment as well as specific skill and position specific training.
Players can organize teammates or request similar times and dates
Multi-session packages for 4-6 sessions can be purchased.

We are lucky to have access to various coaches in order to meet the various needs of athletes. Session rates are dependent on several factors including group size, experience level of coach, facility cost and number of sessions booked.
Location: UBC War Memorial, SRC or Osborne gyms for most sessions.
Timing will be arranged based on facility availability but will include Monday or Wednesday afternoons/evenings and some weekend times.
Beach/ Grass court sessions
These sessions will be tailored to suit individual needs and can be adjusted to work on beach specific training or hybrid skill development for general skill development.
