Thunder Volleyball Club’s Legacy Continues: Shea Baker and Claire Stewart Shine as OUA Second Team All-Stars

The echoes of success from the Thunder Volleyball Club reverberate once again as two remarkable athletes, Shea Baker and Claire Stewart, alumni of the Thunder Volleyball Club, have been distinguished as OUA Second Team All-Stars. Shea Baker: A Thunderous Presence on the OUA Stage

A name synonymous with precision and strategic brilliance, Shea Baker has orchestrated the Queen’s Gaels’ offensive symphony from the setter position. Finishing fifth in the conference for total assists with an impressive 567 for the season, Baker’s ability to read the game and deliver the perfect sets has been instrumental in the Gaels’ offensive onslaught. Not only did she secure the second spot in assists per set, boasting an impressive 8.72, but Baker also showcased her versatility with 58 digs and 22 blocks.

As Baker surpassed the 1,000 career assists mark this season, her career total of 1,345 assists for Queen’s solidifies her legacy as a key architect of the team’s success.

Claire Stewart: Illuminating the OUA with Precision

Claire Stewart, another luminary from the Thunder Volleyball Club, has etched her name among the OUA Second Team All-Stars. Stewart’s agility, precision plays, and leadership prowess have set her apart in the competitive collegiate arena.

Demonstrating consistent defensive excellence, Stewart claimed the 4th spot in the conference with an average of 0.92 blocks per set.
